concord. we set record high temperatures in santa rosa, redwood city and san jose. here is what you can expect. tomorrow is another gorgeous day. clear outside. we will have sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s and 80s. wednesday changes move in. the fog returns. temperatures cool and will cool more thursday. rain returning by the french 50s and low 60s. south of the golden gate bridge tomorrow, 60s out the door. getting into the 70s by noon. widespread 70s and low 80s through the bay area. low 80s tomorrow again. close to the record temperatures but i don't think we will breaking any. low 80s tomorrow. 79 in san jose. we will be in the upper 70s for inland valleys. east bay shores, temperatures in the 70s. 74 heyward. 60s and 70s near the coast line. sea breeze winds kick back in in the afternoon. that will cool things down coast side. look at your extended forecast. warm tomorrow but changes wednesday, thursday, friday. rain returning thursday and friday. temperatures dropping as a result. 50s friday afternoon. we will rebound slowly into the weekend and next week. >>> a new report

with the santa rosa city school district are meeting with maintenance officials to decide whether to cancel clanses -- classes because of the weather. the board held a meeting last night to issue a warning about the potential foreclosing individual schools or district wide shutdown. they should decide within the hour whether conditions are safe. >>> there will likely be flight delays later this morning at sfo. we just got word from the faa right now that those delays are running three hours 34 minutes for arrivals. heavy winds with the rain and low visibility slowed the air traffic yesterday when it was much better, 73 flights then cancelled. for up toe,p the minute delays check out flight tracker on abc7news.com. >>> crews around the bay area are expecting a busy morning cleaning up downed trees. the rain not only saturates the ground it waters down trees making them more top heavy prone to toppling in the wind. we've been seeing several downed trees in the past two days. >> it is over saturation, old oak tree they are big once the water gets in the leaves the weight tips them over. >> in

rosa and 68 in the city, thanksping changes mid-week of. we'll tell you about that first let's get the latest. >>> the man who was trapped in a drainage pipe is now safe. he got stuck in a 16-inch pipe 7 feet below the surface of a hillside. a three hour rescue operation started at 9:00 last night on fitzgerald drive. the crews could hear him but they could not see him. >> we made verbal contact with the victim and he was agitated but evidence that he wasn't injured but stuck completely belly down and feet down in a pipe that was angled at about 60% grade. >> rotating crew has to excavate the drain pipe in order to get the man out. this is a photograph. rescue effort. he used the area to stay warm. and he told authorities that he was homeless. they treated him for operations, hypo -- abrasions and hypothermia and took him to the hospital. >>> there will be a memorial service for a young manning that died in an attempted carjacking last week. 22-year-old rory pedford was shot and killed by two suspects that went on a crime spree last week. there will be a service at 11:00 at darling

downtown, san jose, redwood city, all 84 all set records. 48 santa rosa, 49 antioch, 48 san francisco 58 in oakland. still a hint of an easterly breeze, i think i will pack my bags and give way to sunshine and get warmer weather today, they literally will go and we are just giving a leading edge. temperatures will come down 15 degrees. maybe higher elevations overall calmer conditions, cooler lows, 70s to upper 80s and it is really tough to get the inland temperatures warm. it could come up with the offshore breeze and cooler on wednesday and thursday, now this is a colder system more than it is a rainy system. it will be okay but it will be darn cold in the morning. >>> overnight asian markets were mixed, japan slipped less than a half of a percent each and trading was relatively light ahead of election results. and on election day, a little bit of gains and it does point to a slightly higher opening and it will be a wait and see but tomorrow markets will be reacting. fbi is now looking into trades of apple stock. a trader received an order for apple shares but the trader bought 1,000 t

for san rafael and santa rosa. keep an eye on daly city because of that mud slide. you're at one third of an inch of rainfall. a low pressure area just about to make landfall into northern california. the atmosphere will be very unstable, widespread showers tonight and early tomorrow because of that low pressure area. it moves out saturday afternoon. but then here comes another rainmaker, a cold front moving through. once the front is out of here, the rain chance goes away entirely, but between now and then, we will have a solid rain chance all the way until sunday. check out these rainfall totals. our computer is predicting anywhere from one to two inches of new rainfall by this time tomorrow night. it's also going to be pretty chilly. highs around 60 to 62 degrees. oakland, 62, concord, 61. rain moves out by sunday afternoon. we're dry on monday and tuesday. showers return on wednesday and for thanksgiving. and we will be right back. -what's up? i'm chris. -and i'm erik. both: we're the fruit guys! back in 1998, we had this idea to deliver fresh fruit to offices in downtown san franc

, gilroy did check in at 90. san jose oakland santa rosa redwood city at 84. those were records. sfo san francisco 79 and records mountainview at 83 was a record. today it will be close for a few but a lot less. santa rosa yesterday or today 86, 1931 that will not happen. san francisco 83. and that will not happen today i am going 76 oakland close but i don't think so. i don't see the strong breeze coming off which they need. san jose yes the record is 80. going 81. redwood city tying 80 forecasted high for them is at 80. a couple that will be close. clear skies and a little eastern breeze but really not much of one. yesterday it was no doubt about it. so the warming today out yesterday. nice today but we will start cooling. 45 santa rosa how in the sam hill can they hit 86 or 85 or 84without that north wind it's not possible the day is not long enough upper 50s and lower 60s oakland and san francisco. a teeny puff of eastern breeze but most location say calm. sunny and nice for november. it's warm, tomorrow we start a cooling trend and a big drop in the temps thursday into friday. frida

the weekend. santa rosa has a well designed drainage system to handle heavy floods just in case the city emergency operation center is ready for a crisis. >> west of the city of santa rosa there's problems. you get low level flooding and again to south west end of santa rosa in here. >>reporter: flooding is a major concern in petaluma where employee at rs technical services are setting up make shift walls lined with plastic and sealed with more than 50 sand bags. if that doesn't work they have a small army of pump to back it up. >> this is only if it gets more than an inch or 2 or couple inches deep in here. these other smaller pump pull water down to 4 inch deep so hopefully stop it here. keep it from going that the building. >>reporter: this small company that makes storm drain surveillance camera suffered major damage during the new year flood of 2005. but this time they say they are ready. back live at this point there's no sign of flooding. but there are a lot of emergency personnel and resources standing by. reporting live in santa rosa abc 7 news. >>> all right allen than

today. take a look at this. i've highlighted them in orange. 84 santa rosa, oakland 84 redwood city. 90 degrees in gil roy, a new record here. this is actually the airport, san francisco airport, 79 a new record. downtown did not hit a record. meanwhile the oakland airport did so oakland downtown and we are talking about oakland airport both breaking records today. the sun has been down for about two hours or so set about 5:07 and take a look still mild out there, 72 san ra kel, mid 60s in concord, 67 in napa, 71 san jose, a light offshore breeze continues mostly clear skies in the overnight hours. that's going to help to really cool us back. we'll wake up in the upper 40s to low 50s. your satellite radar here, there's the element responsible for this warm weather. take a look at that ridge. wow, a large ridge of high pressure in place for tomorrow, as well storm track still well to the north now eventually this ridge is going to be pushing east. by wednesday we'll begin the bigger cooling impacts and then by thursday and friday this is going to allow for a storm to drop out of the gulf

still above normal. 44 santa rosa. good morning with redwood city at 44. 39 for santa rosa. 49 by the delta. notice the low 40s for livermore and concord. so here's a look at our forecast then. sunny and mild today with gradual cooling. you feel it more tomorrow. definitely into monday but still we see the sunny conditions. the clouds will thicken on tuesday. the rain begins would be win on wednesday and it lacks like right on through next weekend as we begin december on the saturday? i think saturday is december 1st. here's a look at high pressure that continues to push that storm track to the north. and that's where the rain stays for the next several days. so we aren't looking at any additional snow in the sierra nevada and once we do see that it looks like a sub drop fetch. right now the jet stream well to the north with the upper level high beginning to weaken. here is how it will play out. tuesday night the rain is off the coast but look how close the ice -- isobar. the rain and win can come our way on wednesday. here it is at 9:00 in the morning on wednesday. and the sno

. 82 santa rosa and redwood city. and then by tomorrow and tuesday the numbers continue to rise. so records could be possible from oakland and san francisco near 80 and with that sea breeze coming back on tuesday for election day, it is just dropping a degree or two in some locations from the peninsula and in the city. but san jose notice today you are warming up as much as 4 to 5 dries warmer than yesterday and it will be your warmest day of the workweek. today we are getting started as the high pressure builds into the eastern pacific. we have high pressure at the surface. the upper levels of the atmosphere, and that is allowing for winds to be offshore today and tomorrow. but then look what happens wednesday. the big cool down with the temperatures coming down as much as 15 degrees. and that is due to a system in the gulf of alaska. it will provide the rain showers and the snow levels are down to 2 or 3,000 feet. our peaks could see a little dusting of the it is 77 in fremont. san jose, 82 in livermore and upper 70s for salinas, monterey. 71 and of course we don't want to forget

. santa rosa 5.61. almost 100%. they will be adding to that by the end of next week. the city 121%. this is a combination of mint hill which is the official reporting station and our observer mike he always tends to run a little heavier than the official reading. so i'm kind of fudging the numbers. it's close. four and a third. san jose only 61%. so take the san jose one with a grain of salt. to the north we have a lot of high clouds. storm track stays there until next week. it looks like the door will come in for rain. that could be about it. but again so far things are not popping up. they are out in the valley. but for us we'll keep an eye on things. a dry forecast. mild to warm. average high this time of year 61-65. or closer to about 64-70. we're running a little above on the high temps. 30s showing up here. napa is 31. fairfield is 38. a lot of 30s close to 40s in there. redwood city is even 42. high pressure our fair weather friend as it kicks everything expect for a few high clouds to the north. mostly sunny. higher clouds. the breeze that settles in pretty quick. i think

francisco and the peninsula south to daly city the bayview district getting heavy rainfall and farther north towards saint helenena, santa rosa, healdsburg, you're picking up steady rainfall, as well. i'm showing you these areas in the north because down towards san jose, hayward, union city, not much rain. it's raining on the bay bridge now with temperatures around 60. oakland at 60, san jose 63. santa rosa 55. here's the setup. that low pressure area that we have been watching for three or four straight days is now making an approach toward the bay area. you can see it right here. and it's moving in our general direction. as it does, the rain will pick up in coverage and intensity tonight and early tomorrow. so i think the wettest period is going to be from now to 7:00 or 8:00 tomorrow morning. then that moves through but we have one more rainmaker to talk about. a cold front will get here saturday night, sunday morning. once this front moves south of the bay area, which will happen on sunday afternoon, i think you get some nice weather to get outside so if you want to get outside maybe pl
